There's every chance that Jaguar has stolen the Paris show with this, the C-X75 electric supercar concept. It's truly the win-win car, mating astonishing claimed performance with true eco credentials. And just look at it...
What's all the fuss about?
The power and torque figures are as amazing as the sleek bodywork: 780bhp and 1,180lb.ft. It will crack 0-62mph in 3.4 seconds and 50-90mph in a face-melting 2.3 seconds. It could be the future of Jaguar and the future of the supercar itself - if so, that future can't come quickly enough.
Any new technology?
Oh yes. The electric drivetrain consists of four 195bhp electric motors - one in each wheel. A pair of 94bhp gas turbines, revving to a stratospheric 80,000rpm, can charge the batteries on the move for a 560-mile range. Without them the car will manage 68 miles.
The motors effectively give the car four-wheel drive, and the car's aluminium and carbon fibre bodywork means it's
relatively light. The dash and door linings are backlit in blue - this is a concept, after all.
