The Israeli-Palestinian settlement

In my school there is a Model UN Club. I represent India in it. I will post some of the resolutions that I have written.

On the question of: The Israeli-Palestinian settlement

Palestine has been calling for statehood for some time now (ever since the “creation” of Israel). Palestinians are outraged by the way that Israel treats them. Hamas have fired rockets into Israel and Israel have sent armies into Palestine. This resolution promotes the peace talks between Palestine and Israel held in Washington D.C.

Shows solidarity towards the innocent civilians of both Israel and Palestine;

Acknowledges the losses both countries have suffered;

Calls for religion to be separated from politics;

1.   Demands that the Israeli offer to turn over 97% of the land in the West Bank and all of Gaza, as well as Arab sections of Jerusalem be accepted by Palestinians.

2.   Calls for Hamas to be disbanded and formally replaced by a stable democratic governing power

3.   Demands that the blockade of Gaza be lifted and full aid given to Palestine

4.   Calls for all violence to be stopped

5.   Calls for Palestine to be declared a state

6.   Calls for Jerusalem to be made into a city state with free access to all.
